As Europe continues to strengthen its approach to energy security, the role of effective Carbon Management is becoming increasingly important. Creating reliable pathways for the reduction, capture, transport and permanent storage of CO₂ is essential for enabling industries to meet their decarbonisation goals while ensuring a resilient energy system for the future. The German Carbon Management Allianz plays a key role in this development. The Alliance brings together organisations that are committed to reducing carbon emissions and accelerating the scale up of Carbon Capture and permanent sequestration solutions across Germany and Europe. HES International is pleased to join the Alliance as an active member.
With our plans to develop CO₂ export terminals in Wilhelmshaven and Rotterdam, we are working to create essential logistical links within the emerging European carbon value chain. These terminals will enable industrial customers to access reliable CCS solutions, supporting their transition to lower carbon production processes. Through our involvement in the CO2nnectNow project at the Energy Hub in Wilhelmshaven; developed in collaboration with our partner Wirtschaftsförderung Wilhelmshaven and member Harbour Energy; we are contributing to the creation of an efficient and scalable CO₂ value chain. The ambition is clear: to develop Wilhelmshaven into a central hub for carbon management in Europe. As one of Europe’s leading terminal and warehouse logistics companies, HES International brings extensive experience in safe, reliable and high quality terminal operations. This expertise forms the foundation for our growing role in the field of carbon management. By combining operational capabilities with strategic partnerships, we aim to support early movers and industrial companies with early access to CCS infrastructure.
