Our people

~340 people. Same standard, every shift.

HBTR covers 175 hectares of quays, rail infrastructure and storage yards, operating around the clock with a team of 340 colleagues. Whether working outdoors, in the control room, in the workshop or in the office, everyone contributes to the same high standards of safety, reliability and performance, day and night.

We also invest in the next generation. Students and trainees work alongside experienced colleagues in operations, maintenance and logistics, taking on real responsibilities while building practical skills for the future.

How we run it

Safe. Responsible. Accountable.

Accidents are treated as preventable. Dust, noise and combustion controls are built into the way HBTR operates, not added afterwards.

ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISPS certified. Ethical, safe and environmentally responsible performance is embedded in the way we operate.

Environment

Site-wide dust suppression, water reclamation and recycling, protective covering of stockpiles and coal compaction to reduce combustion risk.
