The Open Season process gives all market participants a transparent and non-discriminatory way to secure future terminal future capacity at the Wilhelmshaven and Rotterdam CO₂ export terminals. It also supports subsidy applications for our clients and access to project funding by enabling transport and storage declarations for CO₂.

Open Season: Secure Your Access to CO₂ Terminal Capacity
Open Season offers transparent, fair, and future-ready access to CO₂ terminal capacity. Built on an open and non-discriminatory allocation framework, the process guarantees equal access to critical infrastructure - ensuring capacity development keeps pace with real market demand.
For CO₂ market participants, Open Season delivers more than capacity allocation. It enables you to secure transport and storage declarations for CO₂, providing meaningful support for subsidy applications and accelerating access to project financing.
A Structured, Collaborative Process
Participants will be invited to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA), granting access to a comprehensive Information Memorandum detailing commercial options. Working closely together, we will develop a clear and shared understanding of your project requirements which will culminate in a request for reserved capacity.
From Dialogue to Binding Commitment
The process moves from a formal request for reserved capacity to a non-binding Heads of Terms agreement - providing an early, structured basis for alignment. The final milestone is a binding agreement that secures your reserved capacity and includes the provision of transport and storage declarations, giving you the certainty needed to move your project forward with confidence.
