The Management Board of HES International is very pleased to announce that Mr. Tomasz Pietrewicz will be appointed as CEO of HES Gdynia Bulk Terminal, a 100% HES International terminal, effective July 1st 2021. Mr. Bodgan Buczko will leave the company as per July 1st to enjoy his retirement after a career of more than 40 years in the Port of Gdynia.

As from 2012, Mr. Tomasz Pietrewicz holds the position of Financial Director at HES Gdynia Bulk Terminal. He will succeed Mr. Bogdan Buczko as Managing Director and as President of the Board of HES Gdynia Bulk Terminal. Mr. Tomasz Pietrewicz will work together with the Gdynia team and the HES International Management Board to further strengthen the position of HES Gdynia Bulk Terminal as a leading bulk terminal for a wide range of dry and liquid bulk commodities in the Port of Gdynia, with a strong focus on delivering long-term, sustainable growth.

Mr. Bogdan Buczko joined HES Gdynia Bulk Terminal (at that time MTMG) in 1995 which then formally separated from the Gdynia Port Authority as an independent terminal. During his career a traditional coal terminal has changed into a modern, competitive and all-round facility, handling a wider variety of dry bulk commodities such as Agricultural products, minerals and aggregates and the transshipment of liquid bulk. Nowadays HES Gdynia is able to meet today’s customer demands, as well as the challenges of the future.

Mr. Daan Vos, CEO of HES International, commented: “We are excited to announce the appointment of Mr. Thomasz Pietrewicz to lead HES Gdynia Bulk Terminal through the next phase of its development. He is well positioned to lead the company for the benefit of employees, customers and shareholders. We thank Mr. Bogdan Buczko for his valuable contribution during the past decades and wish him and his family all the best for the future in good health and with lots of prosperity.”
